The appearance of this alloy varies based on the copper content, ranging from silver-white to rose-red, down to a striking red color. Unlike sterling silver, silver-copper alloy has a fine crystallization, high resistance to sulfide, and excellent wear resistance. In electrical contact materials, most of them are made of AgCu5, AgCu7.5, AgCu10, AgCu15, AgCu25, and more, which feature superior mechanical properties, wear resistance, and fusion welding resistance. Silver copper alloy also has good mechanical properties, wear resistance and fusion welding resistance, mainly used as high voltage, high current relay contacts and light, medium load circuit electrical contacts, used as brazing materials are mainly AgCu7.5, AgCu25, AgCu28, AgCu55, with AgCu28 the most widely used. With good conductivity, fluidity and wettability, it is widely used in electric vacuum industry. Due to the resistance of long-term load under high temperature, it is only suitable for brazing parts with working temperature below 400℃.
